Looking towards the future.

I was born in Bogota Colombia, I arrived to the U.S at the age of two to three years old. Something to share from my childhood, amazing but I could remember having a monkey and a chicken.  I have enjoyed my time in Laguardia I have met many interesting people from all walks of life while at laguardia College. In fact this is one of the reasons why I decided to transfer from city tech (besides the lower tuition) but really, the world does attend Laguardia College. The professors are also pretty good with the exception of some, I do not mind if a professor is tough as long as he or she is fair.

Hopefully I have one more semester to go before I graduate from Laguardia College with my associates in Environmental Science (that's if they open the final classes I need). Before though, I must complete my cep 121 class. Good class by the way, it helps you pave a clear route towards your goals and reflect on your achievements.  I plan to assist in the healing and awareness of the environmental issues surrounding us and in the process help the environment be a better place for my son to grow up in and enjoy all that we as humans have forgotten, such as simple things like the quality of air we breath, also other species which are facing endangerment of being extinct due to either over hunting or our habit of disturb ecological habitats.

While on the subject of environment, For a long time now I have been noticing the meteorologists have a tough time predicting the weather. Six inches of snow turns to three inches, rain in the morning brings sunshine instead, and the temperature is so un-predictable, I recall it being about 70 degrees in the middle of December one year. Going to the beach has become a constant battle with see-weed and or jelly fish, oh and the garbage floating by really gives it character. On the brighter side since the ocean is rising at such a rapid pace the walk from the sand to the water line is a lot shorter. Any thing and everything that has to do with the sustainability of life has been dwindling before our very eyes for what seems to be for the love of power and money. Third party groups have been funding with success the possibility of living in the moon one day so much so that construction has begun.  The National Geographic channel had a piece on a company that has managed to build what seems to be like inflatable hotels that float in a single position with views to earth. I do not know but seems like some are preparing for a long trip where they can sustain life just in case we can not reverse the effects of our damage to mother earth.
